The Bible states that during the tribulation period, many of the saints (born again believers) will be beheaded for their witness for Christ. Some Christians believe that since beheading is the preferred method of execution in Islam, that Christianity and Islam will collide during the tribulation period. Some people even feel that the guillotine will again be used as the favored method of execution by the antichrist during the tribulation period. It will not be a pleasant time.
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
