Science is forever pushing the envelope on "what could be," no matter how perverse, strange, or unnatural. Sadly, science never seems to follow the old adage: "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." They just want to see what they can prove (hello, hubris!) Case in point, here are a few oddities that "science" is currently working on, for the betterment of ... well, one can't really be certain with some of these:
