GEEZ the blogosphere is rampant with MISINFORMATION. Mostly from the Daily Kos, so you just KNOW it's the "truth"...take it with a grain of salt.

First we have THE BIG LIE.

Then when they discover that they're actually WRONG (shock!) they give the weakest type of "apology" they can come up with (parodied at FreeRepublic):

And to think this is only the FOURTH DAY of Sarah Palin's VP run. Good grief, these next two months are going to be insane.

Horrendous and barbaric 'tradition'

This is simply another way that backwards men in backwards countries continue to try to dominate women and treat them like property or slaves--certainly not as human beings!

It's a disgusting practice, and simply calling it a "tradition" should not make it so!

These are the people who pray 5 times a day...i don't get it! How can some one who worships GOD so much treat women like this?

Well stormybleu002, it's because they DO NOT worship God. They worship the anti-god, the devil, whose domain is this sinful world of ours. For those who don't think there's real evil in the world--tell that to those 5 women who got buried alive.

This is not good

Talk about a short honeymoon.

While personally, this does little to dampen my excitement over Sarah Palin, I think it will cause issues (at least in the MSM) with the GOP's "family values". While I'm very happy she has decided to keep the baby, it is a bit troubling that they kept so hush hush about it, and this news will definitely make everything that much messier. And is just one more thing that Sarah Palin has on her plate, including large family, disabled infant, running a large state, running all over the country as the GOP's potential VP...it's a lot to take on. A LOT.

God help that poor girl and her boyfriend (who apparently is her soon to be husband). The MSM is going to be BRUTAL toward this entire situation.

In the age of photoshopping and media mayhem, this particular story from the hilariously satirical website The Peoples' Cube, shows that even those who are trying to spin things their way (read: iranian mullahs who tried "to illustrate a 'true' statement that Jews are welcome in Iran and that Western reports about mass emigration of Iranian Jews are 'lies spread by the Zionist hegemony.'"

Gustav the party pooper

Timing is everything.

After all the hooplah of last week's DNC convention, it would have been nice if the GOP had had their day in the sun as well, but hurricane Gustav seems to have put a huge damper (pun intended!) on the festivities. The two most important people at the GOP convention, Bush and Cheney, opted out of the convention to keep themselves available should aid and funds be required from Gustav's wake.

Now THAT is putting your country ahead of your party, and yourself!
