More of the craziness we are fighting!

See, this is the thing. Who can stand up against this type of barbaric, hair-trigger, dangerous type of thinking? First it was a cartoon, now it's a TEDDY BEAR!!! And the teacher wasn't even the one to name it, it was named by one of her students, for cryin' out loud. And there was really no outcry or backlash in Kartoum until the MEDIA managed to whip up the local people into a frenzy.

Ms. Gibbons was "sentenced to 15 days in jail Thursday after she was convicted of insulting religion. She was cleared of charges of inciting hatred and showing contempt for religious beliefs."

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING.

After all that people have done over the millenia against, about, and in the name of God and Jesus Christ--the blasphemies, the hatred, the utter contempt, the sinfulness and the total derision of the very creator of the universe, because humanity thinks it knows better--and these people get ticked off over naming a TEDDY BEAR??? My goodness...Christians should be rioting in streets around the world if we followed this mentality!

I'm sorry. I really try hard not to overreact when I read about things like this, but right now I'm thinking: these people are IDIOTS. They don't think. They don't even attempt to understand or think outside their tiny little confined Muslim boxes. They refuse to look at both sides. They have a mob mentality, they don't care about THE TRUTH, or listening to another viewpoint, like normal, rational people might do. No. Like rabid dogs, they simply react. They fly off the handle, blow things out of proportion, and actually call for someone's death, when all of this could have been fixed by nothing more than, oh, say...CALLING THE TEDDY BEAR BY ANOTHER NAME. There, problem solved.

But why stop there? If it's this bad from a cartoon or a teddy bear, then why allow human children to be named Mohammed? I mean,it seems logical to me that like it would be the MOST blasphemous thing, to name someone after their 'great prophet'; to think that a mere human could measure up to the name of the 'prophet'??? Why is that not an insult, but naming a stupid TOY BEAR 'Mohammed' cause enough to call for for someone's death?

It truly is complete ignorance and utter INSANITY. My prayers go out to poor Gillian Gibbons. I really hope that she can somehow get shuttled out of that country to somewhere safe.
