Know your history...the Bible is the only book that has ever foretold--with 100% accuracy--the way the world has been heading. Some things to know:
ISRAEL: the land promised to Abraham by God. Surrounded on all sides by its sworn enemies.
ISHMAEL: first son of Abraham, father of the Islamic nations. If you're in doubt about that part, read this.
JACOB: Second son of Abraham, father of the nation of Israel (God renamed him Israel), who was promised perpetual blessings by God through all eternity. Christ himself arose from one of the 12 tribes (sons) of Israel/Jacob, the tribe of Judah (the Lion).
PERSIA = BABYLON = IRAN, which has the Euphrates river within its borders. Iran has publicly vowed to destroy Israel, and is working on its own nuclean weapons to do just that.
GOG & MAGOG - lands to the north (Russia) and east (China) of Israel. The way things are moving today, Russia, China, Iran and several other middle eastern countries will probably unite against Israel in some demonic pact to wipe it off the planet. China now has the population to employ army of 200 million soldiers, as foretold in the Bible.
Biblical prophecy metaphors to be aware of:
THE BEAR: Russia.
THE EAGLE: England/U.K.
THE EAGLE'S WINGS: the U.S. (out of the Eagle)
THE LEOPARD: possibly Germany.
Possible wartime scenario: the U.N. will soon demand that all nations destroy their nuclear arms for the sake of "world peace." Israel will refuse, because they know that that is the only thing that keeps the wolves at bay, and U.S. will back her. Without nuclear weapos, Israel knows she's dead meat; all of her neighbors know this too. Because Israel refuses to stand down, other countries will attack it out of anger or spite (it won't take much), and U.S. will be drawn into the fight because we are Irael's only ally.
Tiny, surrounded Israel will garner a huge onslaught, but the hand of God will sovereignly save her, and keep her from total destruction (this act will be seen as a miracle in the eyes of the world). In fact, Iran/Damascus may very well be destroyed itself during this time, as they are messing with God's chosen people - not a good thing - "vengeance is mine" sayeth the Lord!
Another scenario: Israel develops some type of program, formula, or thing that the rest of the world wants/needs very badly. When it refuses to give up its secret formula, or "share" (in the eyes of the world), it is attacked, with the rest of the scenario above following.
Either way, and probably very soon now, there WILL be a war in which ONE-THIRD of mankind will be destroyed. We don't know how it will happen, or precisely where it will happen, just that it WILL happen. Pay attention to the news, and keep your eyes on Israel.
