This video was forwarded to me by a friend. This "demonstration" (more like a near riot) happened not somewhere in the middle east, not in Gaza, not in Europe, but in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I'm forever fascinated in a train-wreck-can't-look-away way by the people who refer to themselves as Palestinian, or frankly pretty much anyone from the middle east who is so vehemently anti-Israel. They consistently have this hair-trigger mentality that cannot be reasoned with, and this only becomes worse when a crowd gathers. First only one or two people are yelling, then pretty soon you have hundreds, and then they want to go across the street and kick some Israeli ass. Please.
It's irrelevant at this point to try reasoning with these people, it really is. They're like a rabid dog, they just keep coming and yelling and screaming till they're blue in the face, and sometimes the only thing one can do with a rabid dog is to put it down (ala
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, if you please). I am not advocating violence, but you can't explain to these people that:
- Israel was prophesied to become a country through the will of God (through the 6 Day War), but the existence of Israel was sanctioned by none other than the U.N.! So if Israel's neighbors have any issues about Israel, they need to talk to the U.N. about it.
- The longed-for nation of Palestine has never existed where they say it existed before Israel came to be. Palestine was once a British owned parcel of land, but was never actually a "nation" or a "country." So...
- Claiming that the state of Israel is an "occupation" is a moot point. The world gave them the right to exist. End of story. Waging daily local war over that tiny piece of land because you're angry about a country that doesn't even exist, is pointless. If you want your own country, do it the right way, diplomatically. The U.N. hates Israel too, so you should have no problem founding your own country. But instead you want what Israel has already. Sorry, too late!
- Because God prophesied that Israel's re-existence would occur, and that Israel will never again disappear, trying to get rid of Israel just because you hate them won't work. In fact, if you TRY to make them go away using violence or nukes, YOU in turn will be destroyed by your own actions, because it's been prophesied to happen. The majority of Israel will be divinely protected, and you will become nothing more than a big hole in the ground. Damascus, Syria? Yeah, buh-bye. Read all about it HERE.
