I used to think that this kind of stuff wouldn't pass muster in the center of the country, but with everything taking giant steps to the left, it wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of this list being accepted in Peoria (the former bastion of flyover conservatism).
Some standouts:
SB 172: Allowing CA students to "graduate" without a diploma or even being tested to pass out of school.
SB 178: This one may explode into something bigger and more expansive, count on it.
SB 707: This one will almost guarantee more mass campus and school shootings.
AB 329: Makes sex education courses mandatory for students unless parents opt-out, also including teaching of a fluid gender identity. What does that even mean???
