And she'll do it if she gets elected

Hillary's attempt to control the media. Oh yeah....thre's no blatant left-wing mainstream media going on here.

Sheesh.

Would a candidate like this even stand a chance?

Probably not. But I might vote for him just because his views seem to let me follow my own conscience.

Huckabee: http://www.mikehuckabee.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Issues.Home

As for the other candidates?

Rudy: Although he may truly be the only candidate who can stand up to Hellary, he's pro-abortion. And I just can't go there.

Romney: Yep, I'm one of those who feel that his being a Mormon is just a little too spiritually creepy for me.

Thompson: The jury's still out on this one. He's definitely taking the low-key approach.

McCain: Unsure. Seems very short tempered. Makes me feel somewhat unsettled.

Duncan Hunter: Strong on being anti-illegal immigration which I like, but still mulling over this guy.

Alan Keyes: I've liked Alan Keyes' politics for awhile now, his views are very similar to my own. He gave a speech during the Clinton elections that was the first time a political speech had ever made me cry! But I fear there would be no way he'd ever win. Not because he's black, but because he's too conservative for many. Ok, and because he's black. Sad to say, but I'm still not sure the country is ready for that.

Ron Paul: Really like his views, as he's a strict Constitutionalist, but I didn't like his conspiracy theory that our government was somehow involved in the 9/11 attacks. That's just a little too wacky for me. But will keep an eye on him just the same. People definitely seem to love the guy.

Tom Tancredo: very strong on anti-illegal immigration; will have to check him out further.

Sarkozy Touts 'Mediterranean Union' Plan

Next comes the 'Mediterranean Union' then will come the N. American Union.

http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/content/oct2007/gb20071026_986338.htm?chan=globalbiz_europe+index+page_top+stories

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has announced his intentions to hold a summit in France next year to gauge opinion on whether it would be possible to establish a Mediterranean Union between Europe's closest neighbours. The French President had proposed such an idea before, but his idea has so far received a mixed response. Courtesy of Javier Solana, the High Representative for the European Common, Foreign and Security Policy, many Middle Eastern and North African states have already signed up to the European Neighbourhood Policy. The ENP offers participating states economic incentives in return for political and democratic reforms. Then there is what's known as EuroMed or the Barcelona Process, again the brainchild of Javier Solana. EuroMed serves as a catalyst for peace in the Middle East, by providing a "wide framework of political, economic and social relations between the Member States of the European Union and Partners of the Southern Mediterranean". But Sarkozy's plan for a Mediterranean Union would go much further than that, allowing Middle Eastern countries to set up a union similar to that of the European Union, which would promote peace and stability in the region.

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

Which is completely ironic and asinine, seeing as Mr. Gore is quite the energy hog, with his multi-room mansion, his SUVs, and all the travel for his myriad speaking engagements, all to talk about a "theory" that he touts as fact:

August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh -- consuming more than twice as much electricity in one month as the average American family uses in an entire year. Gore's average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.
