Obama to Critics: Just Shut Up

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/obama_to_critics_just_shut_up.html

Obama's socialism formed before his birth

I've known this for awhile, but Obama's socialist mentality was formed well before his birth, thanks to his own mother.

What's missing in the label "red diaper baby" is its complete adage, ala Michael Savage: "red diaper doper baby" as Obama has already admitted that he took drugs in his younger years. LOL…interestingly, this term has even made it to the "Urban Dictionary":

Red diaper doper baby:

1. The children of leftist intellectual baby boomers, raised from birth on Marxism and a drug tolerant environment, and now in places of political and intellectual influence.

2. Politicians who want to legalize marijuana [and other drugs] and tax the successful to support the unproductive.

3. The ACLU (per Michael Savage) "a psychotic bunch of red-diaper-doper babies who were suckled on Karl Marx."

$2.00 a gallon gas! Yay?

You KNOW things have gone haywire when we sigh with relief over $2.00 per gallon gasoline, after living with over $4.00 per gallon for a couple of months. It's still haywire because gas is still over $1.00 a gallon, when for decades it hovered around 25-50 CENTS a gallon. Something I'd still like to see again, IMHO, but know it'll probably never happen.

Post-Olympics Persecution on Upswing in China

Religious persecution is on the rise in China after Beijing ushered in a successful and modern Olympics:

Bono urges relaunch of "brand USA!"

Now, I love U2. And I love Bono. If more people did as much as what Bono has done for the world, many of the problems on this planet would disappear. He is TIRELESS in his quest to better the world.

http://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/people_bono/2008/10/29/145583.html?utm_medium=RSS

I know that Bono is friends with EVERYONE—and plays both sides of the fence to push his agenda—even when playing both sides tends to infuriate me. I also know that when it comes to the U.S., no one wears a deeper shade of rose colored glasses than Mr. B. And that's a good thing, don't get me wrong, I wish many others not born in this country would put on those glasses for a day. But when it comes to politics, sometimes Bono tends to be SO rosy-colored, it's hard to take him seriously. Seriously. Wait a minute. Does that article say he was at a Starbucks leadership conference? See what I mean? Still…I love him.

More of Obama's radical friends

The LA Times has a video of Barack Obama toasting former PLO operative, Rashid Khalidi, at an Israel-bashing party that also included terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. Now that this information has been made public the Times is now coming up with all sorts of absurd legalistic reasons as to why they can't release the video. And of course this guy is YET ANOTHER COLLEGE PROFESSOR! How do these radicals get into these positions?

Should we strive to be like Europe?

HARDLY. Europe gives us nothing good to strive for and this article shows why that is...with numbers and everything!

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/exactly_wrong_again.html

Science fiction to science FACT

This is the kind of thing we used to read about in books, or see in far-fetched TV shows and movies. But what is it that they say: life imitates art? But sometimes not in a good way.

Case in point. Since there is no such thing as perfection, who determines what's 'imperfect'???

Genetic Testing in a Petri Dish Could Eliminate 'Imperfect' Humans--Before Implanting in Mom

End of the campaign wackiness

Now, Palin is 'dissed' for doing her job...as Governor of Alaska.

Hey, did you hear about the speech writer who jumped from Obama to McCain? Of course you didn't...the MSM are making sure of that. http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2008-10-28/so-long-obama/1/

I doubt Phillip Berg's lawsuit about Obama proving his U.S. citizenship will ever come to fruition, but man...I sure wish it would.

Obama 'newspeak' - it's doubleplus ungood to have positive liberties!

Interesting that Obama looks at Supreme Court Justices as champions of the weak over the strong, rather than as a legislative body that should interpret the Constitution as it relates to our country's laws!

There are good people in the world!

This is one of the neatest stories I've read in a very long time. Love the husband's reaction: "Whatever." LOL

THE STATE OF THE CHURCH

One of the things I really struggle with in my own Christian walk, is the way that some churches have embraced a culturally formulaic approach to spreading the Gospel. They try SO very hard, and want to be everything to everyone. You know the ones...they offer coffee bars, video screens, play rock music, and their pastors are 'so hip it hurts,' wearing jeans, cowboy boots, hawaiian shirts, etc. But by giving members and seekers a post-modernistic approach to church, they end up offering more 'marshmallow fluff' than anything, and miss out on giving God's starving people what they really need: the meat of the Gospel, and the bread and wine of Christ.

Case in point, my own church. A couple years ago, I joined my church for precisely ALL of those fluffy reasons: the music, the Abercrombie pastor, the videos, the coffee, the Saturday night services! Granted, I love my church and my pastor, and I will be the first to point out that I have YET to hear him preach a bad sermon! But now, a couple years on, I find myself struggling against feeling that my own church, like many others, is…'overabundantly inadequate' as far as really zeroing in on the true teachings of Christ. They may be hearing…but are they really listening?

Today I stumbled upon a pastor named Steve Gray, who calls out churches--mega and otherwise--who are overly (and overtly) culturally driven. I was very intriqued, so after poking around a bit, I found some hilarious and thought-provoking skits on YouTube by Steve, his wife Kathy, and their acting crew. Being a HUGE U2 fan, I wasn't quite sure what to make of this very odd version of U2's song 'Vertigo." It's kind of like the SNL's Church Lady meets Bono. :) As well here is a spoof of the TV show 'Cheaters'...and a great spoof of 'Survivor'...

But the funniest one by far, has got to be this one! Back in the day, I was also a big Monty Python fanatic, and could easily rattle off many a line from the Monty Python movies or TV shows verbatim! Strangely, that very same characteristic has now passed on to the next geneeration of my family: my own nieces and nephews now find Monty Python side-splittingly hilarious themselves!

Obama affiliated with Marxists

To those who feel that Obama is not affiliated with Marxists, you had better read a page out of Obama's own book!

I have personally heard the audio of this portion of the book, read by Obama himself!

They all laughed...and then it was too late

The media are obviously grasping at straws if they have nothing better to talk about than Sarah Palin's wardrobe.

It seems the media world (and the rest of the world in general) is laughing at Sarah Palin since she came onto the scene, even if she is resolute in her goal of becoming the first woman VP in United States history. Instead of putting her on a pedestal, they chose to villify her. Let's look at a few other moments in history where people either laughed or were in complete disbelief…just before the tables were turned:
  • Noah, who built a giant ark in a time where rain was unheard of, just before a flood came and wiped out the entire planet.
  • Abraham's wife, Sarah, who laughed when God's angel said she would become pregnant and have a son, since she was well into her 90s. She subsequently gave birth to Isaac (meaning 'laughter') who went on to father the Jewish nation.
  • Goliath, a Philistine giant, laughed at David because of his small stature and young age. David killed him with a sling and a single stone, and went on to become the greatest king Israel ever knew.
  • Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of the world by being crucified on a cross, which started a worldwide fervor of eternal faith that has never been stamped out since.
  • Martin Luther, who stood up against the all powerful Catholic church, starting a religious revolution that continues to this very day.
  • The Jewish people, who though many have sought to destroy them throughout history, remain active and resilient, and will continue to be the central focus of everything that happens on our planet.
  • Harry Truman, who, after his razor-thin win, held up an already printed newspaper declaring his opponent, Thomas E. Dewey, had won the election in 1948.
  • George W. Bush, who was elected. Twice. And has kept this country safe since 9/11. Don't discount Sarah Palin yet, folks. She didn't just burst onto the scene for no reason. I have a feeling that God has put her into the limelight for such a time as this. He is definitely not done with her yet. This country needs someone with her values to set things right again!
Frankly, I think she actually looks pretty darn cute in every one of these pictures! :)
