We're overdue

Luke 21:25-26: "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity and anguish at the roaring and tossing of the sea and the waves; mens' hearts failing them for fear, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken."

THE FAMILY IS BEING ERASED

Erasing the traditional God-created family by "neutralizing" parental terms:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/01/07/passport-applications-soon-gender-neutral/

It's been shown throughout history that in any given society when the family unit collapses, the society itself is on its way to collapsing as a whole as well.

this is pretty funny.

Apparently, the name "Harry Reid" is so toxic in Nevada (says Glenn Beck), that Harry Reid's own SON, Rory, who is RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR, for cryin out loud, won't even use his last name in his campaign...he's just going by "Rory."  At least for now.

This is a process that is sometimes embarked upon by selfish-disguised-as-loving unmarried women who are desperate to have a child, and damn whatever consequences may come. Along with donor children feeling emotionally wrecked by this information, what about the non-biological fathers/husbands who raise one of these children? Knowing that their child is not really THEIR child has got to be heartbreaking.

This is not the way God intended a family to be!

1939 Olympics deja vu?

Every four years, just like the Olympics, the planet is bombarded by World Cup soccer.  For everyone else on the planet--except for those of us here in the U.S.--soccer (aka "football") truly is the be all and end all of all sports.  To the U.S. it's just one big snoozefest.

Appropriately, I just heard something very interesting on Dennis Prager's radio show.

Apparently, those in the closed-off country of North Korea believe that they are superior in every way to every other race/ethnicity on the planet.  Interesting. An entire country with the mindset of their "dear Leader."

However, just today, sports newswires around the globe report that the North Korean team lost--BIG TIME--to Portugal, 7 to 0.

Dennis wondered aloud, just how this loss--a loss of one of the largest gaps ever in World Cup history--will be covered by the North Korean news?  Will their athletes be tortured like those in Iran? Of course we may never know, due to the country's media blackout, but hopefully some news will leak out.

This news brings to mind the equally stunning loss of the Germans (the "superior Aryans") to the U.S. in the 1936 Olympics held on their home turf of Berlin, which makes me believe that God definitely has a sense of humor about putting people in their place.  :)

Obama's shining moment

Our nation, our world, and most especially, our President, have been spinning out of control faster and faster in recent weeks.

President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and their cohorts, after weeks and months of underhanded dealings and surreptitious Congressional meetings, finally rammed through the Health Care Reform Act. This bill, unless somehow repealed (don't count on it), will be the most detrimental and damaging bill ever passed by any congress or by any president, in the history of the U.S.  It's an all around horrible decision, made with tremendously poor judgement, by people with extremely large egos, and absolutely no common sense!  This President is bound and determined to force our country to become Europeanized by leaps and bounds, seemingly operating on a 'damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead' mindset.   The torpedoes' in this case, being the citizens of the U.S, who have almost unilaterally stood against this bill—even many Democrats!

Obama now seems to have accepted that he will undoubtedly be a one-term president.  The 2010 mid-term elections, as well as the Presidential primary in 2012, aim to 'throw the bums out' and return us to a (hopefully) more balanced governance. As such, statutes surrounding our nation's safety, security, and place as a superpower are being chipped away by Obama bit by bit.  He seems to know that his time is short, and because of that, he plans to take as many people down with him.  He is taking great pains to make sure that our country's defenses are weakened, diminished, and destabilized, in the mistaken idea that doing so will make our enemies less antagonistic toward us. In these matters, he is very wrong, his decisions very dangerous, as noted in these articles:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/04/05/obama-limit-potential-uses-nuclear-weapons/

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/04/07/obama-bans-islam-jihad-national-security-strategy-document/

Personally, I have been looking at Obama's presidency—as well as his personality—as a very small taste of how things will be under the anti-christ.  For 3 ½  years, things will seem hunky dory.  The world will adore him, he will seem to do no wrong, his charm and charisma will be all-encompassing, and there will be peace among nations.

But after those 3 ½ years, he'll change—radically--and the real horror will begin.  He WILL become the devil incarnate, he WILL rule with an iron fist (not to mention supernatural powers), his cruelty will have no limits, and his reign will make  Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Mao, Kim Jong Il, Ceaucescu, and any other historic leader seem like the Vienna boys' choir.

Like this blog says, YOU MUST BE READY, YOU MUST GIVE YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST!  Only He is the answer to our world's disorder, chaos, and SIN-sickness!

The island of the damned

The caribbean island of Haiti suffered a near 7.0 earthquake on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.

Shortly thereafter, Pat Robertson publically stated that because Haiti gave itself over to the devil in 1791, in order for the natives to succeed against the French, their oppressors. Ever since then, the island has been in the grip of various dictators, cannibalistic thugs, death, immense poverty, and the scourge of HIV.

Was Pat Robertson right? Personally, I believe he is. I have not heard yet of a better reason why this country cannot pull itself up by its own bootstraps to grow and thrive like the Spanish-speaking half of the island, the Dominican Republic.
Santo Domingo, DR's capital, thrives, especially where foreign business is related (in fact a company I once worked for had a huge call center in the heart of SD, and still do).

Haitians are said to be "70% catholic, 30% protestant, and 100% voodoo." This formula does not equate to a land of peace and prosperity by any stretch. The U.S. and the U.N. have more than once tried to come to the aid of this impoverished country, only to be driven back by the very people they were trying to help.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1243016/ANDREW-MALONE-Rape-murder-voodoo-island-damned.html

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/faith/article6990002.ece

This is not to say that God Himself caused this disaster, or that the people of Haiti "deserve" this disaster. God loves the Haitian people, but He wants them to turn to Him with their hearts, minds and souls, and turn away completely from voodoo. As Ephesians 6:12 tells us: "We do not fight against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." This curse was brought upon the country by its leaders years ago, but until the curse is broken, the country will continue to suffer.

There are indeed some very strong powers and principalities at work in the spiritual world of Haiti, steering the island's people far away from Jesus Christ...and ONLY with Christ can the country, and its people, become whole, healthy and prosperous and truly FREE.

Please pray for the Haitian people!

The greening of the Pope

The Bible says that in the end days there will be a one-world Government and a world religion, and that the two will be very intertwined.  The Pope has always been an outspoken, controversial figure, and Catholicism in and of itself is very constroversial to many.

Now with the Pope gunning for a world body to oversee and control the ecological aspect of the planet, could this become the new "religion"--forcing us to "worship" nature and adhere to strict eco-boundaries in how we live, all under the guise of "stewardship"?

Ann Coulter hits the nail on the head!

IF YOU CAN FIND A BETTER DEAL, TAKE IT!

by Ann Coulter

January 6, 2010

Someone mentioned Christianity on television recently and liberals reacted with their usual howls of rage and blinking incomprehension.

On a Fox News panel discussing Tiger Woods, Brit Hume said, perfectly accurately:

"The extent to which he can recover, it seems to me, depends on his faith. He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So, my message to Tiger would be, 'Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world."

Hume's words, being 100 percent factually correct, sent liberals into a tizzy of sputtering rage, once again illustrating liberals' copious ignorance of Christianity. (Also illustrating the words of the Bible: "How is it you do not understand me when I speak? It is because you cannot bear to listen to my words." John 8:43.)

In The Washington Post, Tom Shales demanded that Hume apologize, saying he had "dissed about half a billion Buddhists on the planet."

Is Buddhism about forgiveness? Because, if so, Buddhists had better start demanding corrections from every book, magazine article and blog posting ever written on the subject, which claims Buddhists don't believe in God, but try to become their own gods.

I can't imagine that anyone thinks Tiger's problem was that he didn't sufficiently think of himself as a god, especially after that final putt in the Arnold Palmer Invitational last year.

In light of Shales' warning Hume about "what people are saying" about him, I hope Hume's a Christian, but that's not apparent from his inarguable description of Christianity. Of course, given the reaction to his remarks, apparently one has to be a regular New Testament scholar to have so much as a passing familiarity with the basic concept of Christianity.

On MSNBC, David Shuster invoked the "separation of church and television" (a phrase that also doesn't appear in the Constitution), bitterly complaining that Hume had brought up Christianity "out-of-the-blue" on "a political talk show."

Why on earth would Hume mention religion while discussing a public figure who had fallen from grace and was in need of redemption and forgiveness? Boy, talk about coming out of left field!

What religion -- what topic -- induces this sort of babbling idiocy? (If liberals really want to keep people from hearing about God, they should give Him his own show on MSNBC.)

Most perplexing was columnist Dan Savage's indignant accusation that Hume was claiming that Christianity "offers the best deal -- it gives you the get-out-of-adultery-free card that other religions just can't."

In fact, that's exactly what Christianity does. It's the best deal in the universe. (I know it seems strange that a self-described atheist and "radical sex advice columnist faggot" like Savage would miss the central point of Christianity, but there it is.)

God sent his only son to get the crap beaten out of him, die for our sins and rise from the dead. If you believe that, you're in. Your sins are washed away from you -- sins even worse than adultery! -- because of the cross.

"He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross." Colossians 2:14.

Surely you remember the cross, liberals -- the symbol banned by ACLU lawsuits from public property throughout the land?

Christianity is simultaneously the easiest religion in the world and the hardest religion in the world.

In the no-frills, economy-class version, you don't need a church, a teacher, candles, incense, special food or clothing; you don't need to pass a test or prove yourself in any way. All you'll need is a Bible (in order to grasp the amazing deal you're getting) and probably a water baptism, though even that's disputed.

You can be washing the dishes or walking your dog or just sitting there minding your business hating Susan Sarandon and accept that God sent his only son to die for your sins and rise from the dead ... and you're in!

"Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9.

If you do that, every rotten, sinful thing you've ever done is gone from you. You're every bit as much a Christian as the pope or Billy Graham.  [however, personally I dispute the Pope's Christianity since Catholocism tends to teach a very different type of "Christianity" --K.]

No fine print, no "your mileage may vary," no blackout dates. God ought to do a TV spot: "I'm God Almighty, and if you can find a better deal than the one I'm offering, take it."

The Gospel makes this point approximately 1,000 times. Here are a few examples at random:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23.

In a boiling rage, liberals constantly accuse Christians of being "judgmental." No, we're relieved.

Christianity is also the hardest religion in the world because, if you believe Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead, you have no choice but to give your life entirely over to Him. No more sexual promiscuity, no lying, no cheating, no stealing, no killing inconvenient old people or unborn babies -- no doing what all the other kids do.

And no more caring what the world thinks of you -- because, as Jesus warned in a prophecy constantly fulfilled by liberals: The world will hate you.

With Christianity, your sins are forgiven, the slate is wiped clean and your eternal life is guaranteed through nothing you did yourself, even though you don't deserve it. It's the best deal in the universe.

A milestone, sure.  And maybe diversity was part of the reason she won.  But moreover, I believe it was pure APATHY on the part of the voters that caused this.  Only 16% of registered voters turned out--less than one-quarter of the total number of voters in the city.

The Manhattan Declaration

The Manhattan Declaration

Wednesday, November 25, 2009 9:38:54 PM

From: "Focus on the Family" <family@mail-family.org>

Dear Friends,

On the eve of Thanksgiving, as millions are gathering to express their gratitude to God for His myriad blessings, it's fitting that we pause to discuss a historic development within the American church.

As many of you already know, I, along with Dr. Dobson and more than 150 Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant clergy, academics and organizational leaders, recently signed a remarkable expression of collective Christian conscience and commitment. It's called the Manhattan Declaration, and it's intended to make clear a significant point: As Christian Americans who believe each person's life is a gift of infinite worth, we have an urgent, ongoing responsibility to continue standing for biblical principles in the public square.

This past Monday's Focus on the Family® radio broadcast featured a discussion about the purpose and goal of the declaration. Joining Dr. Dobson on the program were two great friends of our ministry, Dr. Robby George and Chuck Colson, two of the primary drafters of the document. I was honored to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Robby and Chuck at the Washington, D.C., news conference unveiling the declaration last Friday, but I was unable to join their radio conversation. Given the magnitude of this document, though, I'd like to share with you now why I was so eager to sign it--and why I hope you will, too.

Manhattan DeclarationIt is important, first off, to note that the Manhattan Declaration is not a partisan or political statement--I shared the podium last Friday at the National Press Club with Republicans and Democrats alike. Instead, it addresses and elevates four specific areas of universal consensus. Some have referred to these as "threshold issues," meaning they represent the foundation of our faith and the pivot point from which everything else flows. This is the bedrock. If we can't agree on these areas of doctrine, everything else will be of reduced value. These four areas are:

1.            The sanctity of human life.

2.            The sanctity of marriage.

3.            The protection of religious liberty.

4.            The rejection of unjust laws.

We have been committed to these baseline principles since Dr. Dobson founded Focus on the Family in 1977. Our conviction on these matters runs deep; motivating our movement has always been the heartfelt belief that these principles are not ours, but the Lord's, and that they promise to help and heal a broken world.

The document is a fresh and lively presentation, a renewed rallying cry to those who have been engaged in this historic effort of spiritual and cultural conversion. This is not a manifesto for culture war; it is a prescription for cultural change. It is also a thoughtful invitation to those who might be sitting on the periphery, perhaps hesitant to join this effort, maybe because they've never been fully aware of the consequences of inaction.

As a unified body, we are acknowledging that our faith is strong and redemptive, but it's not necessarily a comfortable and easy pursuit. Standing up for our beliefs can often come at great cost. But as Dr. George highlighted at last week's news conference, even the secularist philosopher Socrates once posed a relevant question Christians should easily answer today. "Is it better to suffer an injustice," he once asked, "than to commit it?" By affixing our signatures to the Manhattan Declaration, we are answering an unequivocal "yes."  http://manhattandeclaration.org/

Although many American Christians understandably feel under assault, the degree of faith-based domestic persecution cannot compare with the ghastly violence perpetuated against believers in other parts of the world. In the Sudan, for instance, hundreds of thousands of Christians have been slaughtered not because of what they're doing, but because of the One in whom they believe. It is a wise people who act to protect the freedoms they enjoy.

And so I ask you to join me and my friends and colleagues in embracing and standing up for these crucial biblical principles. How? You can start by reading the document, in its entirety, by clicking here. What I think you'll notice is that, in addressing the issues noted above, The Manhattan Declaration is an excellent example of achieving the balance of Truth and Grace required of us as followers of Jesus. This is a document that exhorts us to champion Christian truths in a Christian manner. It stands for something.

Then, after you've read the declaration, consider adding your name to the list of signers--and urge your friends and family to do the same. We are all imperfect. But if we honor God by promoting biblical principles, resisting our sometimes insatiable and admittedly prideful motivations, He will honor us.

Sincerely,

Jim Daly

Rusty gives us some perspective

Touted as one of the "fathers of talk radio," Rusty Humphries has become one of my favorite talk show hosts of late. His show is on one of our local Dallas stations, and I get to listen--and learn--while drifting off to sleep.  |-)  Rusty has given many political "predictions" that have come to pass, especially where Obama and our liberal Congress is concerned...as well as liberals in general.  He also has excellent guests, like Andrew Breitbart, Joseph Farrah of WorldNetDaily, as well as many political insiders. I always enjoy hearing from the many black conservatives he has on as guests.  Nice to know that not everyone drinks from the same water trough.

Rusty's views and opinions have also gotten him into hot water.  For awhile, he and his family were in hiding as they had actually had death threats for things he had said about radical Islam.  So obviously, he's doing something right!  But this week, Rusty put the Obama healthcare issue into perspective for us "lay people:" It's like being forced to board a giant boat...we don't know anyone else on board, we don't know where we're going--no one knows where the boat is going--it's made up of faulty equipment and has a questionable crew that refuse to answer any questions: they won't tell us where we are going, they won't tell us where the life boats are located or the life jackets.  Not only that, it's a one-way trip, so there's no way back once we get to wherever it is we're going.  Some trip, huh?

Basically Rusty said that if we aren't able to get rid of some of the Liberals in congress and vote in some Conservatives in 2010, and if we can't stop that bill, it'll be OVER--we'll never be able to un-do health care reform--we'll be stuck with it from then on, because it will have passed into law.  Our children and grandchildren will be forced into a European style health system that DOES NOT WORK, actually costs everyone more, doesn't give nearly the level of care we have currently, and embraces a culture of death (i.e., suggesting to parents of babies with defects that they be left to die, or to old people that life is no longer worth living, and to take themselves out of the equation because they've become a burden).

I remember reading a book many years ago that talked about these very scenarios, and thinking to myself, "like that could ever happen!"  And here it is, happening right before our very eyes, and in my very own lifetime.  It's breathtaking...and Christian believers can SEE the breadcrumbs being laid out...we see how the stage is being set for the antichrist's arrival.  The scene is not yet completely "set" but the elements--polically, socially, technologically--are there.  It's mind-numbing to realize the speed at which everything is happening in the world.

the evil of youth

I don't care if they are only 15 or 16.  They're old enough to know better, and this is what we have the death penalty for.

Fortunately for these scummy kids, because of their age, they won't get it.  As they used to say "hangin's too good."

In the flurry of news this week, you may have missed another body tossed under the insatiable Obama bus: Internet Czar Susan Crawford.

The Obama administration has faced a vocal and growing opposition to the radical so-called net neutrality advocated by folks like Crawford and FCC Chair Julius Genachowski. Bi-partisan opposition, I hasten to add. The radicals in the administration, whose views are shared by the President, in true czar fashion avoid honest debate on the issue at all costs. Even, it would seem, internally.

Michelle Obama's staff salaries

Written by Dr. Paul L. Williams

"In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much," she said. "See, that's why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service…" Michelle Obama

No, Michele Obama does not get paid to serve as the First Lady and she doesn't perform any official duties. But this hasn't deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim and to satisfy her every request in the midst of the Great Recession.

Just think, Mary Todd Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary from her husband's salary.

Total Personal Staff members for other first ladies paid by taxpayers:

Mamie Eisenhower : 1 paid for personally out of President's salary

Jackie Kennedy: 1

Roselyn Carter: 1

Barbara Bush: 1

Hilary Clinton: 3 <--take note!

Laura Bush: 1

Michele Obama: 22

How things have changed! If you're one of the tens of millions of Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald cheeseburgers, prepare to scream…and then come to realize that the benefits package for these servants of Ms. Michelle are the same as members of the national security and defense departments....and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by YOU, John Q. Public!

Michele Obama's personal staff:

$172,200 - Sher, Susan (Chief Of Staff)

$140,000 - Frye, Jocelyn C. (Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Policy And Projects For The First Lady)

$113,000 - Rogers, Desiree G. (Special Assistant to the President and White House Social Secretary for Mrs. Obama)

$100,000 - Winter, Melissa E. (Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)

$35,000 - Bookey, Natalie (Staff Assistant)

$35,000 - Jackson, Deilia A. (Deputy Associate Director of Correspondence for the First Lady)

Total = $1,591,200 in annual salaries...FOUR TIMES the salary of Barack Obama!

There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time who has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life. One wonders why she needs so much help at taxpayer expense?

Note: This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and "First Hairstylist" Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One to Europe .
