While technology in and of itself is be a very good thing, it can also be corrupted when in the wrong hands (take the internet and the proliferation of porn, for instance). The Antichrist will use the world's technology against it, monitoring every move people make, where they go, what they do, who they talk to, what they talk about...and what they purchase. Adding RFID technology (tracking every item manufactured in the world with its own unique number), and the extreme violence he will use to destroy Jews, Christians, and anyone else against him, and he will make Orwell's "1984" look like a walk in the park.
