Horrendous and barbaric 'tradition'

"Tradition" my patootey!

This is simply another way that backwards men in backwards countries continue to try to dominate women and treat them like property or slaves--certainly not as human beings!

It's a disgusting practice, and simply calling it a "tradition" should not make it so!

These from the article itself and comments are very telling:

Zehri [the lawmaker] told a packed and stunned Parliament on Friday that Baluch tribal traditions helped stop obscenity and then asked fellow lawmakers to stop making such a fuss about it. (fuss? what the--?)

Several lawmakers stood up in protest, describing the so-called honor killings as "barbaric."

Ooh they stood up! Well, that's a start.

These are the people who pray 5 times a day...i don't get it! How can some one who worships GOD so much treat women like this?

Well stormybleu002, it's because they DO NOT worship God. They worship the anti-god, the devil, whose domain is this sinful world of ours. For those who don't think there's real evil in the world--tell that to those 5 women who got buried alive.
