In July, Obama mentioned a rather odd statement about having a 'civilian national security force'...one that is "just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

I'm thinking this means something a little more than being able to make a "citizen's arrest" on the streets somewhere. Aside from picturing those "bow-tied bodyguards" that constantly hover around Louis Farrakhan when he's in public, I also tend to think about the former USSR, where neighbor spied upon neighbor, friends turned on friends, and children finked on their parents.
It’s like pre-WWII all over again. We forget that Hitler came to power through democratic elections, not through a government coup! If we don't pay attention, we're doomed to repeat history!
