Mom and Dad, I'm so sorry that your child was subject to bullying because of who she is. I'm sorry that your church let you down. I'm sorry that your faith was shaken so badly.
However, just because we humans view different types of sin on different levels (stealing, rape, murder), or the fact that you have stopped believing that there's a hell because of what your child has been through, is completely irrelevant. God is still in His heaven. God is fair. And God looks at ALL sin equally. Sin is sin. Period, end of story. Hell still exists. And it's still UP TO YOUR CHILD to make the decision to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior…or not.
However, not accepting Christ is the "unforgivable sin" talked about in the Bible (willful rejection*), and it still has a consequence, and that consequence is hell. Whether or not you believe in it makes no difference.
We're not put here on earth to have fun, be happy, or live without trials and tribulations. Life is hard. Life is difficult. Just living life makes life unbearable for some. But God "never promised you a rose garden" here on earth. We are here for His glory, not ours; and He will be by our side, helping us walk through our darkest days, if we allow Him into our lives! (He doesn't force us)
