I notice on google now they have changed the number to 56, but who should be surprised at that?! it is the Organisation of Islamic Conferences and is responsible for some very dangerous stuff going on at the UN, like making Christianity illegal! I admit that I am a "dedicated follower of fashion," and have been all of my life. Call it a strength, call it a weakness, but it is what it is. The media, lacking any real stories, was quick to pounce on Sarah Palin's wardrobe during this elections, none of which, I thought, was called for. Sarah Palin always looked polished, smart, put together, and chic, even when she chose to wear jeans, or something like boots. In October. I know, crazy, huh?

So since I have heard nary a peep in the media about Mrs. Obama's clothing choices, and since SHE will be setting the fashion stage for women across America for the next 4 years, I thought that I would bring some attention to the wardrobe of Michelle Obama.

Let me just say that Mrs. O herself has also worn a few very questionable frocks, colors, and styles, IMO. Michelle, watch the trendy. I give you props for rocking flats and wearing Narcisso Rodriguez to the post-election shindig, but hey--isn't that a DESIGNER DRESS COSTING LOTS OF MONEY?!? You know...like they said about Sarah Palin's clothes?! However, I think this dress is just about perfect for her. This outfit? Something about it is just wrong. And what is up with this outfit??? Faded clothes...HORIZONTAL STRIPES?!?! And what about the rest, below: strange, funky skirts...hideous prints and flowers...leggings with a skirt...and a WHITE CAMI without a cover up??? Woman, GET THEE TO A STYLIST to help keep you away from these fashion faux pas! You cannot tell me that the media would not be merciless to Sarah Palin if she were to wear any of these articles of clothing! We'd never hear the end of it!

Michelle, you are a tall, statuesque, lovely woman. Stick with what looks best on you: classic shapes, classic cuts, solid colors, jewel tones. Stay away from flowers, too many prints, and even though we know you have a fondness for purple (we get it - red and blue make purple!), it's a little much at times. And girl, get you some blush and some lipstick! Your skin has very yellow undertones...stay away from yellow and olive...they only make you look sallow! Remember...we have to look at you for 4 years! And please don't ever let us see you in African nationalism attire, a dashiki, or a headscarf, ala Erykah Badu. *shudder* As for Miss Malia Obama, first daughter, we may have a model in the works. Can you believe she's only TEN? She's nearly as tall as her mama!

"Relationships" in the post modern age

In this day and age, everyone seems to take a cue from the man who will never grow up, Hugh Hefner (who, unless he changes his ways will get his reward here on earth only). Hugh, after a couple of years of living with THREE vapid blonde bombshells--and not married to any of them--has seemingly broken it off with the three of them and has "downsized" to 2 twin sisters, Karissa and Kristina Shannon.

K&K look sweet and innocent - and they should. They're only 19. Hef, on the other hand, is 80, 4 times older than they, and probably twice as old as their own parents. That makes him old enough to be their GREAT grandfather. EEW. They look rather unsullied and um, "natural," if you know what I mean. But like all things, this too shall pass. I expect them to be enhanced, plucked, tucked, airbrushed, and shoved into the mold of busty bombshell before too long.

Hefner has been promoting the swinging bachelor/hedonistic lifestyle now for some 40 years. Getting into both his Playboy magazine and mansion have become goals for hundreds, if not thousands, over these many years. He has brought us sex without love, pushed sex with no consequences (though there always are consequences), and the "joys" of leading a hedonistic lifestyle without guilt or reproach. All LIES.

I place MUCH of the blame squarely on the shrinking shoulders of Hugh Hefner for helping our society turn into the cesspool it has become. Porn, strippers, hookers, lap dances...much of those took a page from Hef's "book of playboy" and ran with it. And our society has paid the price ever since.
