I tend to not agree with Camille Paglia on most things, and this column of hers (original in Salon.com) comes WAY too late to be of much help at all to Sarah Palin. However, I think I'm more impressed that Paglia, being one of feminism's big wigs, says that she actually "likes" Sarah Palin. Well, until O made this gaffe (or not) there were 57 members of the OIC which has status at the UN. I notice on google now they have changed the number to 56, but who should be surprised at that?! it is the Organisation of Islamic Conferences and is responsible for some very dangerous stuff going on at the UN, like making Christianity illegal! In July, Obama mentioned a rather odd statement about having a 'civilian national security force'...one that is "just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

I'm thinking this means something a little more than being able to make a "citizen's arrest" on the streets somewhere. Aside from picturing those "bow-tied bodyguards" that constantly hover around Louis Farrakhan when he's in public, I also tend to think about the former USSR, where neighbor spied upon neighbor, friends turned on friends, and children finked on their parents.

It’s like pre-WWII all over again. We forget that Hitler came to power through democratic elections, not through a government coup! If we don't pay attention, we're doomed to repeat history!
