Racism crosses ALL ethnicities

It's amazing that the left's favorite battle cry, "racism," is never given a long hard look in the mirror. It's as if racism, any form of racism, comes ONLY from the right (meaning, mostly whites), the right is the ONLY group that ever spews racists comments or thoughts, diatribes.

While I agree there are many whites who are blatantly racist about many people, what people don't understand is that JUST BEING HUMAN makes one racist to a degree. It's our sinful, impure human nature, and fear of the unknown, that gets in the way. What we don't know, we fear, and more times that not, fear is the seed of racism, amongst many other things.

By one merely saying that he or she isn't racist doesn't necessarily make it true. We're always going to have prejudices of one type or another. What we like/don't like, what we're comfortable or uncomfortable with, our way of life, how we were brought up, our politics and religious affiliations, how others differ from us...it's ENDLESS. However many don't understand this, so they continue to exacerbate the "only the right is racist" view, which is a stereotype in and of itself! Many years ago, on a lark, I went with a friend to see a medium, who she swore up and down was "the real deal." I was already very leery, but since it was only $5, I decided to check her out. Even at that time, before I was a Christian, I knew that this stuff was just a bunch of malarkey, so I was going to do my best to not give her any body language clues...and my visit confirmed it!

She was so wrong about SO many things that it was all I could do not to laugh right in her face! Right there I had my own proof that she was not the real deal, and I've lived my life very happily not ever having to visit a medium again! :)

"Christian militants." The very phrase seems to be an oxymoron.

ANYONE can say they're a "christian", and many people think they are one, simply because they are not Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, etc. But apologists say that merely saying you are a Christian makes about as much sense as standing in your garage and saying that you're a car.

Now God tells us to put on the "armor of God" (Eph 6:10-17) and that Christians are in a "battle" between good and evil on this planet, but as stated in this article: "When Christians resort to illegal and militant action, they are acting no better than Islamic radicals who believe that they have to fight for God. Looks like a few people have shown their displeasure at Oprah's decision to not have on Sarah Palin until after the elections. Interesting.

I'm sure there are websites and writings out there in the ether about this very thing, but my own conclusion is this: wherever God has created something of value, something beautiful, something good, or something pure, satan will corrupt whatever it is, to bring about something of a similar, but much more malevolent, nature. He is the father of lies and deception, after all.

• God told us to love all of mankind, even our enemies, and to help everyone: widows, children, and others; satan gave us ways to divide us...like politics!
• God created mankind to be above the plants and animals, and to use them for food and other things as needed. He also gave us soul and spirit that we might communicate with Him; satan says that humankind is evil, is trampling the earth, polluting the air and water, and that animals and trees have souls and are just as important as people.
• God tells us that a "quiverfull" of children is one of life's blessings; that every life, and every child, is precious, and that killing is a sin; satan tells us that overpopulation is destroying the planet, and that it is a woman's choice to kill her child in utero.
• God tells us that, because of Adam's first sin, we are all sinners to our very core, and the only way we can be redeemed is through salvation in Christ alone; satan says that all paths lead to God, to rely on our own "inner strength" and to "believe in yourself" in order to get through life.

• God tells us there is but one mediator between God and man, and that's Jesus Christ; satan says that it's okay to worship another human being because he is in the (very broken) "lineage" of one of Christ's disciples.
  
• God tells us to pray for others, and to be kind and loving; satan tells his followers to "kill the infidels," and masquerades as a false--and violent--"religion of peace."
  
• Christ tells us to be like little children--innocent, open and trusting--in our love for Him; satan tells his followers to bloody their own children, to offer them up for martyrdom, and to fill their minds with hatred toward anyone who is unlike them.
• Christ elevates the status of women, as in Him there is "no male and female;" satan tells his followers that women are less than second class, barely human, should cover themselves from head to toe, and can be killed for the least little offense.

So, which would you rather belong to?

What is 'proof'?

God tells us to have faith. But in our fleshly sinfulness, there is always doubt. Mankind tends to not believe unless he can actually see and touch something. Faith is hard! WOW! Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews have actually been DEMOTED!!!

This strikes a HUGE blow to two of the most incendiary and liberal mouthpieces in the MSM! :D

"I’m sorry, it’s necessary to say this," he began. After saying that the video had exploited the memories of the dead, he directly apologized to viewers who were offended. Then, sounding like a network executive, he said it was "probably not appropriate to be shown."

This just goes to show that Olbermann is one of those "journalists" (a term I use very loosely) who jump from one crisis to the next, and 9/11 is just another "story" that's over and done with, and now should be swept under the rug.

Oooh, I can hear their egos exploding even now. :)

Oprah blows off Sarah Palin

I used to be an Oprah fan, back in the day when she was entertaining and informative, not as she is now, as the head of her own religion "Oprah-ism" where she tries to fix everyone and everything with her own ideas, philosophies and money. Yes, she is a very powerful force in the media, yes she is very rich, and I will say, very generous with her money, but this just show's Oprah's true color(s).

Oprah to Palin: I Can Pencil You In Later

Oprah has issued a statement to TMZ -- she won't put Sarah Palin on her show until after the election. Here's the statement: "The item in today's Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over." (For the record, Barack Obama has been on "Oprah" twice -- in January, 2005 and again in October, 2006 -- before he announced his run for Prez.)

One of the comments below the article states: "...Obama is the new Messiah...of Oprah's new religion that she espouses....." and it couldn't have been said more succinctly!
And I completely agree with this comment, which is probably what Oprah is hoping for: "After the election Palin will be entirely to busy as the VP to talk to Ms. O."
If Oprah were worth anything at all, she would be JUMPING at this opportunity to interview the FIRST FEMALE GOP VP CANDIDATE IN HISTORY.
But no. Not Oprah. She calls the shots, and she's as liberal as they come (and she's black, and lives in Chicago, so therefore she MUST vote for Obama, right?), so this does not surprise me.

But if you wanted to let The Big O know your own thoughts on her choice not to have Sarah Palin on her show, you can do so here.

My 2 cents: Oprah will cave like a bad souffle over this. :)

Marriage...the way it SHOULD be?

In this day and age of free and open sex, birth control, easy abortions, and little thought about consequences, the thought of an arranged marriage seems hopelessly outdated and even crazy.

However, God may have another idea. That is, if we truly follow His teachings as shown in the Bible. It's a somewhat scary prospect, but who would know better about choosing a lifelong partner for you than God himself?

So what are the real "rules" about relationships? Let's look at 1 Corinthians 7:

1Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry.^[a] 2But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. 3The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 5Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. EDIT: some new info has come out about Levi. Not only that he's a great hockey player, but that he has said some things on his MySpace page (those things WILL come back to bite you eventually) that seem very suspect, mainly his use of an "F bomb" over and over, and his statement "I don't want kids."

Well Levi, perhaps you should have thought of that before you unzipped your pants. It takes TWO to make a baby. I'm sure you aren't ready for all of this hooplah, and a child out of wedlock, but you don't have much of a choice now, seeing as your girlfriend's mom is the potential VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

A little late information, but still very eye-opening

This information below is from Trinity United Church's own website. This is Barack Obama's former church, the one he attended, with his family, for 20-odd years. Does this sound like a Christian church? Where is Christ in this creed?

Trinity United Church of Christ

These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They consist of the following concepts:

• Commitment to God. “The God of our weary years” will give us the strength to give up prayerful passivism and become Black Christian Activists, soldiers for Black freedom and the dignity of all humankind.
• Commitment to the Black Community. The highest level of achievement for any Black person must be a contribution of strength and continuity of the Black Community.
• Commitment to the Black Family. The Black family circle must generate strength, stability and love, despite the uncertainty of externals, because these characteristics are required if the developing person is to withstand warping by our racist competitive society. Those Blacks who are blessed with membership in a strong family unit must reach out and expand that blessing to the less fortunate.
• Dedication to the Pursuit of Education. We must forswear anti-intellectualism. Continued survival demands that each Black person be developed to the utmost of his/her mental potential despite the inadequacies of the formal education process. “Real education” fosters understanding of ourselves as well as every aspect of our environment. Also, it develops within us the ability to fashion concepts and tools for better utilization of our resources, and more effective solutions to our problems. Since the majority of Blacks have been denied such learning, Black Education must include elements that produce high school graduates with marketable skills, a trade or qualifications for apprenticeships, or proper preparation for college. Basic education for all Blacks should include Mathematics, Science, Logic, General Semantics, Participative Politics, Economics and Finance, and the Care and Nurture of Black minds.
• Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence. To the extent that we individually reach for, even strain for excellence, we increase, geometrically, the value and resourcefulness of the Black Community. We must recognize the relativity of one’s best; this year’s best can be bettered next year. Such is the language of growth and development. We must seek to excel in every endeavor.
• Adherence to the Black Work Ethic. “It is becoming harder to find qualified people to work in Chicago.” Whether this is true or not, it represents one of the many reasons given by businesses and industries for deserting the Chicago area. We must realize that a location with good facilities, adequate transportation and a reputation for producing skilled workers will attract industry. We are in competition with other cities, states and nations for jobs. High productivity must be a goal of the Black workforce.
• Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect. To accomplish anything worthwhile requires self-discipline. We must be a community of self-disciplined persons if we are to actualize and utilize our own human resources, instead of perpetually submitting to exploitation by others. Self-discipline, coupled with a respect for self, will enable each of us to be an instrument of Black Progress and a model for Black Youth.
• Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness.” Classic methodology on control of captives teaches that captors must be able to identify the “talented tenth” of those subjugated, especially those who show promise of providing the kind of leadership that might threaten the captor’s control. Those so identified are separated from the rest of the people by:Advancement of Black People towards freedom.

1. Killing them off directly, and/or fostering a social system that encourages them to kill off one another. (What?!)
2. Placing them in concentration camps, and/or structuring an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons. (again...what?!)
3. Seducing them into a socioeconomic class system which, while training them to earn more dollars, hypnotizes them into believing they are better than others and teaches them to think in terms of “we” and “they” instead of “us.”
4. So, while it is permissible to chase “middleclassness” with all our might, we must avoid the third separation method – the psychological entrapment of Black “middleclassness.” If we avoid this snare, we will also diminish our “voluntary” contributions to methods A and B. And more importantly, Black people no longer will be deprived of their birthright: the leadership, resourcefulness and example of their own talented persons.

• Pledge to Make the Fruits of All Developing and Acquired Skills Available to the Black Community.
• Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions.
• Pledge Allegiance to All Black Leadership Who Espouse and Embrace the Black Value System.
• Personal Commitment to Embracement of the Black Value System. To measure the worth and validity of all activity in terms of positive contributions to the general welfare of the Black Community and the Advancement of Black People towards freedom.

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

1. A congregation committed to ADORATION. (of whom? HIMSELF?)
2. A congregation preaching SALVATION. (how? Biblically or the TUCC way?)
3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA. (why only to them?)
8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION. (of whom... from what?)
9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.

Now...if one were to replace the word "black" with "white" throughout this "church value system", they would be tarred, feathered, hung up, strung up, butchered and beaten by the media and perhaps even arrested for being so blatantly racist. And yet...here it is for all to see. And THIS not racist or segregationist??? This is nothing more than a "list of grievances" from what I can see.

Not to mention that since Barack Obama became known, and his relationship with Rev. Wright was put under the microscope, Rev. Wright has since retired. In doing so, he has kicked his own church doctrine to the curb. He will now be living in a $1.6 million, 10,000 square foot mansion, all paid for by his church, in a gated community. Jeremiah Wright himself criticized people from the pulpit for middle classism, and for too much materialism...so how's that for working towards "economic parity"?

You stare in shock as the left pursues some witch hunt or other, that would have them impaling themselves on [swords] of righteous indignation, were they themselves being scrutinized in like manner. But you still don't get it. You still persist in being the good natured Joes you are. You still think that the left is just "different" and that "reasonable people can see things two different ways and no one is necessarily evil". Maybe you think that way because you're basically "good" and think everyone's like you. Maybe you're like Rick in Casablanca and just "misinformed", in either case, you're sadly and greatly mistaken. Reasonable people can't see the murder of children "two different" ways, if one of them ends up with dead children! Part of the problem is that you've grown up with a lot of false religion mixed in with the truth. We all have. "WE'RE ALL GOD'S CHILDREN", sound familiar? Of course it does, we've heard it thousands of times.

The problem is that biblically it isn't true. In fact, Jesus specifically, in painstaking detail, taught the exact opposite! HE said in the parable of the Wheat and the Tares, Matt 13:24-30, with the explanation here, Matt 13:36-41, that many people on earth do not in fact belong to Him. That's why they can think that two men should call what they commit upon each other "marriage", or can think that the interruption of a developing life in the womb is not "murder". If you pin one down, they can't even understand that but for their "intervention" a human being would be alive and going to the friggin' dry cleaners! It's like something clouds their reasoning. Well it's because only His "sheep" will hear His voice (John 10:27). And since He is truth, it is no wonder that those who are not His, embrace, spread, or revel in, lies! I realize that some will be uncomfortable about this discussion of religion but I really feel that it is in this province that the solution can be found. Maybe if you wake up you won't keep "bringin' a knife to a gunfight"! See, it doesn't surprise me that an alleged Christian like Obama would start preaching that "Jesus isn't the only way" (Listen to the audio, here.) He could have pointed out that he isn't a minister and that those questions are "above his paygrade", hmmm, why does that sound familiar? But see, he wasn't as cagey then, back then he answered the questions with his liberal satanic view of the world! So when,he as an alleged Christian supports infanticide or that he finds support for gay unions in the SERMON ON THE MOUNT, but can't seem to agree with all of the "obscure scriptures" which specifically condemn homosexuality, I'm not surprised at all. Have you listened to this guy's Pastor??? The preacher's religion is from Satan, not Jesus! (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). "Black liberation theology" teaches its worshippers to hate whites, and Jesus said that hating one's brother is a "no-no" and earns you a quick ride to a hot lake (1John 3:15 and 4:20). It's no shock to me that Pelosi would tell masterfully constructed lies about the position of the Catholic Church as it relates to abortion and in her version, it's the Church that doesn't know IT'S position! For the record the Catholic churches position on abortion is ONE HUNDRED percent biblical, contrary to some of their other notions which we could, but won't, expound on here. Nor sadly, does it surprise me that Alan Colmes and CBS' John Roberts, would now insist that Palin's a deadbeat mom for "abandoning" her special needs child. They are after all, in most cases, just doing their father's work (John 8:44), and as far as vilifying the daughter of a Vice Presidential candidate? Just another day in liberal land. Most of us on the other hand, really need to wake up.  

 EXIT QUESTION: If you don't recognize your enemy as your enemy, how can you possibly beat him? AMEN! Until we truly wake up, we will be forever blind, and never know the real truth!

Veganism is an oxymoron

I found this post while trying to find an answer for why vegans insist on wearing "vegan" footwear and shoes when that means plastics, vinyls and other manufactured materials...many times from China, etc. That's a carbon big footprint to leave on the earth for a size 8 shoe.

I think most veggies and vegans just don't think outside the box much when it comes to how they live. And they're very much in the minority - the rest of the planet doesn't live that way, yet they insist that their way is the best (only) way. Funny, I thought God's way was the best way: eat everything, but in balance. Meat, eggs, fish, fowl, pork, fruits & vegetables. According to God, it's ALL edible. And hey, call me crazy, but Jesus was NOT a vegetarian, no matter what Peta tries to tell us.

Here's is a very interesting post from someone who should know, and she titles her post "Why most vegans are stupid." (her words not mine!) She's put a lot of thought into the whole vegan "schtick" pointing out the obvious, that vegans (and many vegetarians as well) "are fairly self righteous about their lifestyle and often feel certain that the way they live their life leaves the smallest ecological footprint on the earth."

Well stormybleu002, it's because they DO NOT worship God. They worship the anti-god, the devil, whose domain is this sinful world of ours. For those who don't think there's real evil in the world--tell that to those 5 women who got buried alive.

This is not good

Talk about a short honeymoon.

While personally, this does little to dampen my excitement over Sarah Palin, I think it will cause issues (at least in the MSM) with the GOP's "family values". While I'm very happy she has decided to keep the baby, it is a bit troubling that they kept so hush hush about it, and this news will definitely make everything that much messier. And is just one more thing that Sarah Palin has on her plate, including large family, disabled infant, running a large state, running all over the country as the GOP's potential VP...it's a lot to take on. A LOT.

Gustav the party pooper

Timing is everything.

After all the hooplah of last week's DNC convention, it would have been nice if the GOP had had their day in the sun as well, but hurricane Gustav seems to have put a huge damper (pun intended!) on the festivities. The two most important people at the GOP convention, Bush and Cheney, opted out of the convention to keep themselves available should aid and funds be required from Gustav's wake.

Now THAT is putting your country ahead of your party, and yourself!

Hurricane Gustav could hit Louisiana by Monday

Yep--another hurricane--Gustav this time around (who names these things anyway?) is headed straight toward Louisiana again. Finally the third time is a charm - after Katrina and Rita, everyone who can is bailing out of New Orleans. Even mayor Ray Nagin told everyone (early!) to GET OUT. For a change. This comes nearly 3 years to the day that Katrina hit.

I often wonder when things like this happen, is there a reason that New Orleans is getting beat up again? I know it's a very sinful city, full of crime and voodoo, but it does make me wonder if there's something to the fact the city has now been hit with hurricanes THREE TIMES in 3 years.

Big Brother is watching...your driving

This is a bit of an old issue, but still a good one, and one that continues to pop up, so I thought I'd give it a bump.

While riding with a friend in her lovely new car this weekend, she used Onstar to help guide us to our destination.

It was both fascinating and very creepy.

Her car obviously has one of those infamous GPS "black boxes" that are ubiquitous in airliners for collecting every bit of data, to determine the cause of an event if some tragedy befalls that plane. But do we really need them in our cars?

This is just another way of technology slowing encroaching on our privacy. It's being ever chipped away, bit by bit, in return for so called "safety and security." GPS is now everywhere, and because of it's convenience and usability, more and more companies, products and people are diving right into it without really looking at the big picture. Right now the NTTA (North Texas Tollway Authority) already has the ability to track your every move--if you use the tollway system. Let's look at the creepy things they already track, shall we? This is the NTTA record for my own tolltag:



For something (someONE?) to know my very whereabouts at all times, even under the guise of being "helpful" to drivers...it's all very subversive and surreal. I assume that soon enough, car insurance companies and medical insurance companies will be "borrowing" this technology to determine if someone should be barred from getting insurance coverage (or medical treatment) because their driving records show they "don't deserve them."

Add the possibility (more like the reality) of putting sensors in the roads themselves, and you have the makings of a police state - and who then are those who make this determination?

If I am an upstanding and law abiding citizen, why do I need to be watched every moment of every day? To what end?

Oh yeah. See the very reason for this blog. It's definitely happening folks.

When Libs have kids

So THIS ADVERT seems to be all over the bloggosphere lately. It's by an "artist" in Manhattan who was looking for a brave soul to be a nanny to her 4 kids. Whew. Just reading parts of that advert are chilling.

Now, I don't have children, so I really have no point of reference, but I was brought up in a rather strict household where discipline put the fear and respect of God, my parents, and others (esp. other adults) into my soul, traits that have been passed down to my nieces and nephews. Also, there are ways to NOT HAVE CHILDREN if things are so out of hand in your life that you think a nanny will help to solve things. I'm just sayin.

And I NEVER thought I'd agree with Bill Maher on anything, but I certainly do with this quote. This sums things up in a nutshell:

Iran has made threats before, and will continue to do so (because the country is run by an IDIOT) but this news may be correct in the end.

As a Christian, I don't believe anyone should be killed for the sake of killing. Everyone, no matter how cruel, heartless and lost is loved by God immeasurably, and he wants everyone to come to Him.

However, I am a realist, not a pacifist. I believe we need the death penalty, and I believe in the Just War. I also know there are some crazy wackjobs out there who just happen to run entire countries; those who are power mad and are war mongers. And no, I am NOT talking about George W. Bush. I'm talking about Iran. And North Korea*. And Russia. And Cuba.

If it weren't for the innocent people who live there, I'd say, will someone please just blow the country off the map. Or at least take out their insane leader, Imademonjob.

His threats and "promises" to wipe out Israel and the U.S. remind me of the old cartoon of the little yappy dog, barking and bouncing excitedly over and around the large bulldog, until finally the bulldog has had enough, and backhands the smaller dog saying: "Ahhh...SHADDAP!"
